Graphic India, is the culmination of Devrajan's dream to launch superheroes and stories that tap into the unique creativity and culture of India.
"Graphic India has been the leading force in original comics and animation for India. I am thrilled to be working with them to finally bring our fans this untold story of Baahubali which will reveal new insights about the characters from the film in a story about an epic tournament that shaped Prince Baahubali's life early on," said acclaimed filmmaker and Baahubali creator, S.S.Rajamouli.
The app is pre-loaded with numerous free comics that are available in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. However, Baahubali comic is currently only available in English. "Baahubali is a film that completely redefined entertainment in this country for a generation and I believe that the future of Indian cinema shall always now be known as "before Baahubali" and "after Baahubali.” The amazing world that S.S. Rajamouli created allows for so many additional stories with these characters that people love and a graphic novel is one of the best ways by which we can tell the stories in a visual storytelling medium," Devrajan, who holds a BFA from Syracuse University and an MBA from Columbia University tells us.
Along with this new piece to the Baahubali story, Graphic and Arkaare also working an animated series dubbed “Baahubali: The Lost Legends”. It is now in production in partnership with Amazon Prime Video.
