Sasikala attempts to follow Amma's path. After fighting for a political stand, she now wishes to learn English and requests for a tutor in jail.
After aspiring to take over her mentor Jayalalithaa's party, Sasikala is now aspiring to learn English in jail. From running a video parlour to be one of the top aides of the most popular AIADMK politician in Tamil Nadu, Sasikala has come a long way in the Tamil political scene. It, however, remains to be seen whether she achieves success in both the attempts like her mentor Jayalalithaa.
According to Parappana Agrahara jail officials, Sasikala wishes to brush up her English language skills and wants a tutor for herself. For the time being, she is restricted to just a couple of Tamil newspapers, the only language she is fluent in, unlike Jayalalithaa who was fluent in both Tamil and English.
Meanwhile, her co-inmate and sister-in-law- Ilavarasi’s-who is also a co-convict of Sasikala in the disproportionate assets case has reportedly fallen ill and wishes to be treated at a private hospital. The jail authorities, however, have asked her to first get dianosed at the government-owned Victoria hospital as per prison protocol. She had complained of weakness and loss of appetite to prison doctors.
