The Chennai Test has been more of a 'Karnataka Test.' What KL Rahul could not achieve in Chennai, his fellow statesman, Karun Nair did and in style.
The 25-year-old batsman converted his maiden Test ton into maiden Test double hundred during the ongoing fifth Test between India and England in Chidambaram Stadium on Monday.

The Indian fans had to wait for a while before they witnessed Karun scripting history because when the Karnataka batsman was five runs away from the 200-mark, the umpires called for tea.
Karun scored 200 off 306 balls, and that knock was inclusive of 23 boundaries and a six. He has reached both his hundred and double hundred with a lovely four, resulting in the crowd erupting with cheers.
When Karun was in his 190s, and every time the English team appealed, the spectators and TV viewers' heartbeat just doubled. Rahul's heart-rending dismissal on 199 is still fresh in everyone's mind.
Here is the video capturing India and Karun's memorable moment:
Earlier, the Karnataka pair shared a stand of 161 runs for the fourth wicket before Rahul's unfortunate moment.
