Going all against rebel leader O Panneerselvam, AIADMK (Sasikala) leader TTV Dinakaran in a press conference said that "betrayers never survive."
Dinakaran assured that the AIADMK would stand united and ensure that the promise made to Jayalalithaa that would continue to rule the state, is kept.
Former Chief Minister and rebel leader O. Panneerselvam, recently announced that he would contest the Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar by poll on April 12. Dinakaran during the press conference alleged that OPS has always been a 'betrayer.' He earlier had attempted to bring down the Jayalalithaa government.
“Betrayals have never won in history,” and those who stab in the back never survived in public life. Time will teach Panneerselvam a lesson, he said.
Dinakaran also hit out against DMK leader M.K. Stalin, who had earlier said that a government run by AIADMK nominee would not be stable and could lead to elections to the state assembly even before local body polls, due already.
Dinakaran but assured that even though there were several conspiracies to derail the government, the AIADMK has been able to avert that due to the “unity of the party workers and the determination of the 122 MLAs.”
Local body polls were to be held in October last year, however, they were cancelled after Madras High Court quashed the State Election Commission’s notifications holding there were many irregularities in it.
