The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has stated that it will start the trial run on the north-south Metro underground stretch between Sampige Road and National College on February 25. Earlier, the corporation claimed that it would start the trial run on the first week of February.
A leading daily reported that the Managing Director of BMRCL, Pradeep Singh Kharola, confirmed that the trial run will complete in 40 days and that the metro corporation is confident that it will meet the April deadline. However, the ground reality depicts a different picture.
The Chickpet metro station is still incomplete but the Managing Director claimed that this still under construction station is just an access point for transporting stock to the tunnel and that in next couple of days the construction work will be completed.
