Women's Commission had sought legal advice about the nature of remarks of the MLA after his comments generated widespread criticism. It was according to legal advice that the Commission directed to register case against him. The panel was of the opinion that the remarks were an insult to womanhood as it brought down the dignity and honour of women.

Responding to this, George said that the Commission has to look at matters concerning women. The MLA also said that he would appear before the Commission only when he gets time.
