Bobbiting incident: Victim's boyfriend files Habeas Corpus

In the latest development in the bobbitting case, the boyfriend of the victim has moved High Court alleging that she is under house arrest. Ayyappadas, the boyfriend of the law student, has filed a Habeas Corpus stating that she is missing. 

Considering the petition, the court sought an explanation from the police. The incident took place on May 18 and took several twists and turns.

The initial report was that the 23-year-old chopped off the genitals of Swami Ganeshananda, or Hari Swami, a member of Panmana Ashram in Kollam.

However, the godman said he cut off the genitals himself. 

After few days, the mother of the victim came up with an explanation and said the victim is mentally ill and it was her boyfriend who committed the act.

Last week, the lawyer of Swami revealed a letter, allegedly written by the girl, in which she states that it was an accident and she never intended to hurt him.

On the next day, a telephonic conversation of the girl was released in which she can be heard saying that the godman never raped her and Ayyappadas and two accomplices of the Swami asked her to wave knife.
