  • A WhatsApp message with one-page Accountancy question paper is doing the rounds
  • The message has emerged after the examination started on Monday
  • DPUE has directed for a probe but said there would be no re-examination

In a shocker to the students writing the second Pre-university examinations in Karnataka, a WhatsApp photo with one-page of the Accountancy question paper was found doing the rounds. The exam was held on Monday, and the PU Board Chief C Shikha has ruled out any leak of the question paper.

The Raichur Deputy Commissioner had received messages on the photo of accountancy paper being circulated on WhatsApp at 12.30 pm on Monday. Photo of one page of the Accountancy question paper was found in the WhatsApp group.

Surprisingly this photo started being circulated after the exam had started and the students were inside writing the exam. Reacting to the news, the Director of Department of PU Education (DPUE), C Shikha said, "The students had entered the exam hall and question papers were distributed by 10.15 am. They cannot leave the exam hall till they write the exam."

"It looks like a mischief, someone might have clicked the photograph from the exam hall and the same photo is being circulated. We are probing the matter and will get a clear picture soon. Students need not worry," Shikha said.

Raichur SP, Chetan is said to be investigating the matter. Shikha also said that it looks like a mischief by some miscreants. She asked the students not to believe such rumours. Meanwhile, she has also clarified that no re-examination will be conducted.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that the question paper (one-page) being circulated on social media matches with the original Accountancy question paper.

Question paper leak had shocked Karnataka last year.
