The CID police who are investigating into the sensational sex CD case involving former minister HY Meti have now stumbled upon the fact that Santhosh, the personal assistant (PA) of State BJP president BS Yeddyurappa and RTI activist Rajashekhar Mulali - who had exposed the scandal - knew each other very well. This piece of information has now led the police to suspect a conspiracy theory behind the CD case.
Santhosh is accused in the attempt to kidnap case of BJP leader KS Eshwarappa's personal assistant Vinay and is facing the inquiry. Santhosh had remained underground since the kidnap case broke out and has been summoned to appear before the CID officials on August 17 at 10.30 am, reports Kannada Prabha.
During the investigation into the Meti case, the CID police have found that Santhosh was in constant touch with RTI activist Rajashekhar Mulali, who had exposed the Sex CD case. The police who were verifying the call records of Mulali found that Santhosh and Mulali were reportedly in touch with each other before the CD expose. Besides, the investigating officers have also found that Santhosh had reportedly shared the CD footage with some of his contacts. This has clearly established the link between Santhosh and Mulali hence, the police are strongly suspecting the conspiracy theory into the whole incident, reports Kannada Prabha. However, the police will only be able establish this once Santhosh appears before the police on August 17.
It may be recalled here that the investigation officers have given a clean chit to former minister Meti in the CD case pointing out the fact that there could be a conspiracy theory into it.
Meanwhile, Santhosh who is already facing the inquiry into the attempt to kidnap case has - on Friday - reportedly told the police that he knew Rajendra, another BJP leader accused in the kidnap case. Reports said that Santhosh had been claiming that there was no link between him and Rajendra, earlier. However, after the police submitted his call records between him and Rajendra, Santhosh reportedly agreed that he knew Rajendra. The police will inquire him further on Saturday too.
